Below
is the abridged version of my bio which includes some of the
highlights that show how I became the musician and person I am now.
As
a child, I sang for school plays and learned about all different kinds of music
through my very artistic family.
In High School, I expanded that knowledge by getting involved in the music department at school and doing shows outside of school. I participated in most of my schools musical events (plays, chorus, marching band, as well as an award winning female barbershop group that performed at Westbury Music Fair). I also won consistent Outstanding awards in the New York State competitions, and represented my school many times in specially selected All-County as well as All-State musical performances.
After High School, I performed first in a blues band called Sleeper, then a Top 40 band called The Hits, and then spent 12 years in one of Long Islands most successful wedding band's ever, Afterglow.
I
also attended college and earned my degree in Jazz Commercial Music.
During that time, I met the love of my life, fell in love, and married him. His name is Dean and our life together is a happy one filled with joy and love.
Five years ago, I was diagnosed with an aneurysm and survived immediate life-saving brain surgery.
Since then I have "found" jazz, and with the help of several friends and mentors, I have gained a new appreciation for the music I now view as timeless and genuine.
I am currently finishing my first album. I await it's release with great anticipation, and hope that it brings forth all of the feelings I experienced while recording it.
